I need a lawyer.
I’m looking for legal advice for an upsetting situation I’m dealing with. My daughter has been leaving packages of dessert food out with signs stating it’s a $10 fine if I have one. She leaves this food out in the open instead of putting it away someplace. I think she’s actually trying to bait me into taking these, and this is part of a plan for her to make money off me by taking advantage of my unfortunate condition that makes me lack self-control. What I want to know is:
-Is her sign and stated financial penalty legally binding?
-I’m fairly certain this is entrapment. Is it? And what legal recourse do I have?
